Dasha, 9 years old, Ukraine
This is Dasha, the girl from the Ukrainian city of Sumy, and she is nine years old. On February 24, 2022, she had to go to school like all Ukrainian children. But everyday since then, she is forced to hide from the war in the basement, defending her life from the Russian attack. Dasha continues to draw.
Her drawings are about the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their protection of Ukraine from Russian aggression.
Dasha knows about it not from the stories but from her own life. She already knows a lot about politicians and the leaders of her country.
Hiding from Russia's military attacks in her hometown, she portrays the President of her independent state, where she was born.
Dasha draws! She believes in victory! She hopes for a free state from Russian aggression. And with Dasha, millions of other children in Ukraine are hoping for peace.

We kindly ask all parents in Ukraine and worldwide to take a picture of their child's drawing and send it to our project pages. We need at least thousands of illustrations from children from Ukraine and, of course, worldwide.
You will need to provide the author's name, age, city, and, if desired, a comment to the drawing.
